About Fun Services

Fun Services is a nationwide group known for helping with fundraising and organizing events. They started in 1968 and have grown to offer a wide range of services for schools, businesses, and community groups. 

Fun Services collaborated with Imaginovation to build an advanced POS/Cash Register app compatible with iOS and Android, offering sophisticated features.

The Challenge

Fun Services faced a major limitation with their existing POS system, which was only functional on Android tablets. This restriction hindered accessibility and the efficiency of administrative processes, as all data had to be locally loaded onto these tablets. 

The primary challenge was to develop a POS/Cash Register app that works across all iOS and Android devices and streamlines the data upload process, catering to the needs of COFRS members, Fun Services' location owners, and school volunteers who utilize the system.​

The Solution

The solution we developed for Fun Services was a multifunctional POS/Cash Register application designed for compatibility with both iOS and Android devices.

This app effectively addressed their challenge by replacing the previously limited Android tablet-only system and significantly enhancing the administrative process, particularly in data management and uploading.

Our solution, thus, catered to a broader range of users, including COFRS members, location owners, and school volunteers, providing a more accessible and efficient user experience.​

Our Strategy

Our strategy for Fun Services was dedicated to developing a POS/Cash Register app tailored for seamless use on both iOS and Android devices. This entailed specific phases, each targeting key functionality and cross-platform compatibility aspects.

Discovery

Our initial step involved examining Fun Services' current POS system, confined to Android tablets, to identify how to expand its reach and improve data handling.

Planning

After analyzing the existing system and client requirements, we crafted a detailed project plan and roadmap. This phase outlined the steps to transform the POS system into a more accessible, efficient solution, ensuring alignment with Fun Services' specific needs and goals.

Design

Our team prioritized designing an intuitive interface, ensuring compatibility and functionality on both iOS and Android platforms, enhancing the user experience beyond the current system's capabilities.

Development

The development phase involved integrating advanced features to enhance administrative efficiency. This included creating more streamlined data uploading solutions and ensuring seamless operation across various devices.

Testing & Launch
