About the client

The client is a mid-size gaming company that specializes in electronic games. The company creates innovative and entertaining gaming experiences for clients in different industries throughout the US and Canada. Imaginovation developed a restaurant and bar POS for the client.

The Challenge

The client who is a gaming company wanted to create a POS solution for their clients in the restaurants and bars industry. They had a need for building an all-inclusive software that can also provide a POS solution to the restaurants. They were looking for a reliable technology company in NC that has experience in developing Windows desktop applications.

Our Strategy

Our software development team met one-on-one with the client's team to discuss their goals and vision for the project. We sought out to learn everything about the restaurant industry and how the various personas who will be using the system interact with other POS systems.

Phase 1

Discovery & Planning

The first 4 weeks of the project were focused solely on discovery and design.

  • We sought out to learn everything about the restaurant industry

Design the Wireframes

Next, our design team started to create wireframes and layouts to give the client an idea of how the application would look. 

  • We sat down with the client to plan designs, our goal was to help guide the design and functionality of the POS
  • After the final design approval from the client, our software development team got to work creating the back and front-end of the system.

Phase 3

Development and Implementation

We started developing the core functionalities of the software.

  • First, we developed the inner workings of the application
  • We also refined the UI to make the navigation easy
  • Our development team worked closely with the the client's project management and QA team

Testing, Optimizing, Finalizing

Our agile approach, dedicated team model, and iterating post-launch allowed us to test and optimize the software at every touchpoint. 

  • It took us roughly 12-weeks to test and iterate during the development phase
  • We analyzed and fine-tuned each feature and functionality
  • We also continuously iterated and improved upon the UI and UX
