About USC LIFEE

USC Keck Medicine, a leading academic medical center, wanted to tackle the growing issue of e-cigarette use among young adults. They reached out to Imaginovation to create an innovative, interactive platform called USC LIFFE that would help users quit e-cigarettes by providing engaging content and essential support resources.

The Challenge

The project involved developing an interactive website with a character that could read predefined texts to educate users about the dangers of e-cigarettes. The platform needed to be both engaging and informative, making the learning process enjoyable for young adults.

Additionally, it had to be scalable and accessible to reach a broad audience effectively. The ultimate goal was to captivate young users and promote awareness in a dynamic, enjoyable manner, encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.

Our Strategy

Our team approached this project systematically, breaking it down into distinct phases:

The Solution

To address the problem, we developed a comprehensive solution focusing on both backend and frontend functionalities. On the backend, we implemented custom PIN and login functionalities, created a participant user list with log histories, and enabled user deletion and detailed information display. We added CSV download functionality, progress bars, and filters for user status, along with admin role updates for enhanced platform governance.

On the frontend, we displayed overall completion progress bars, minutes spent on programs, and updated user avatars. We also enhanced program-specific quiz functionality and integrated audio and video features to enrich the learning experience.
