IoT has so much going on that sometimes, it feels difficult to keep up. Podcasts aren’t new; they’ve been around for 10 years. But they seem to be enjoying a renaissance.

We love podcasts as a way to stay in touch with the latest on many topics because you can listen to them on the go. Podcasters provide summaries, news, information, and make it easy to stay on top of the progress in a field. IoT is a lot of fun, so check out some of our favorite podcasts about how the Internet of Things is changing the world:

Farstuff: The IoT Podcast

Farstuff: The IoT Podcast - This is “the podcast for makers and fans of the Internet of Things.” Every few months hosts Andrea Borcea and Charles Wiltgen cover the ins and outs of new IoT gear, interview leaders, discuss security questions, and more. Length: 45 minutes.

IoT Time

IoT Time - Host Ken Briodagh talks to leaders in the IoT space, offering conversations on design, security, policy, politics, and technology. Length: Under 30 minutes.

IoT Inc

IoT Inc Podcast – This podcast targets managers who are building IoT products to sell. The site includes articles and videos as well as the audio. Content includes discussions with experts and brands about the various products and solutions. Length: 60 minutes.

IoT Podcast

IoT Podcast – Curious about the smart home and connected cars? Hosts Stacey Higginbotham and Kevin Tofel cover the fun uses of IoT as well as security and legal topics. Episode 127 examines whether our devices can and should lie to each other. Length: 50 minutes.

The Smart Home Show

The Smart Home Show – If your interest in IoT is all about the home, this one’s for you. Host Michael Wolf will keep you up to date on upcoming devices and technology to use at home. He includes analysis of smart home news, product reviews, and interviews with leaders. He also runs a conference called the Smart Kitchen Summit. Length: 30-60 minutes.

IoT This Week

IoT This Week – As the title suggests, this show focuses on news. While it hasn’t released an episode since June, IoT newcomers might want to check out the backlog. Length: Under 30 minutes.

Industrial IoT Spotlight

Industrial IoT Spotlight – If your interest in IoT comes from the industrial perspective, host Erik Walenza is talking to you. This show looks at IoT solutions that are impacting businesses, with a specific use case each episode. Length: 30-60 minutes.
